Peningkatan Kesadaran Lingkungan melalui Workshop Daur Ulang Sampah Plastik Menjadi Produk Bernilai Ekonomis di Sekolah SMAN 2 Malang

Permasalahan sampah plastik masih menjadi tantangan serius dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan, khususnya di lingkungan sekolah. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan peserta didik dalam mengelola sampah plastik melalui workshop daur ulang menjadi produk bernilai ekonomis di SMAN 2 Malang. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui sosialisasi, praktik langsung pembuatan produk, serta edukasi pemasaran sederhana kepada peserta didik. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai pengelolaan sampah plastik dan kewirausahaan berbasis lingkungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 56,2 menjadi 89,4. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam praktik pembuatan produk, seperti pot tanaman dan kerajinan dari sampah plastik, yang ditampilkan dalam mini exhibition di sekolah. Kegiatan ini juga berhasil menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan berbasis lingkungan pada peserta melalui pengenalan konsep pemasaran produk daur ulang secara sederhana. Kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah dalam kegiatan ini menjadi sarana penguatan pendidikan lingkungan berkelanjutan serta dapat menjadi model replikasi pada sekolah lain sebagai bagian dari upaya mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dengan demikian, workshop daur ulang sampah plastik ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan, keterampilan praktis, dan menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan peserta didik secara berkelanjutan.
