Abstract

Kesehatan mental kini menjadi masalah serius dan berpotensi besar dialami oleh beberapa kelompok rentan, termasuk peserta didik tunanetra, yang diakibatkan oleh berbagai faktor internal maupun eksternal, seperti determinan sosial dan tingkat ketunanetraan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan determinan sosial dan tingkat ketunanetraan dengan kesehatan mental pada peserta didik tunanetra di SLB-A YAPTI Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional terhadap 69 sampel yang diperoleh melalui metode exhaustive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner SDQ dan SRQ-20 di SLB-A YAPTI Makassar pada bulan Juni 2025 dan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square (α = 0,05). Hasil menunjukkan 66,7% responden mengalami gangguan kesehatan mental dan melalui uji Chi-Square diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara determinan sosial dengan kesehatan mental (p < 0,05) tetapi tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat ketunanetraan dengan kesehatan mental (p > 0,05) pada peserta didik tunanetra di SLB-A YAPTI Kota Makassar. Disarankan untuk menyelenggarakan program pengembangan dan aktualisasi diri, penguatan keterampilan, serta manajemen stres.
