Penguatan Empati pada Petugas Pendamping Warga Binaan Sosial Melalui Psikoedukasi di Panti Sosial X

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan empati petugas pendamping Warga Binaan Sosial melalui program psikoedukasi di Panti Sosial X. Kebutuhan ini didasarkan pada hasil pengamatan awal yang menunjukkan bahwa respons petugas pendamping cenderung situasional-fungsional dan kurang peka secara emosional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimental dengan desain one-group, pre-test, post-test. Pengukuran tingkat empati dilakukan menggunakan instrumen Basic Empathy Scale in Adults (BES-A) terhadap 6 petugas pendamping yang dipilih melalui convenience sampling. Program psikoedukasi dilakukan dalam tiga sesi utama, edukasi empati, simulasi halusinasi auditori (auditory hallucination simulation), dan bermain peran (role play). Analisis data menggunakan uji nonparametrik Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test menunjukkan peningkatan skor empati yang signifikan pasca-intervensi (Z = -2,060, P = 0,039). Data observasi juga menunjukkan perubahan perilaku petugas pendamping yang menjadi lebih tenang dan suportif dalam memahami kondisi emosional Warga Binaan Sosial. Meskipun program psikoedukasi ini telah berhasil menguatkan empati petugas pendamping, gaya komunikasi agresif-direktif masih kerap muncul pada situasi yang melibatkan tekanan tinggi. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa durasi program psikoedukasi yang berlangsung selama dua hari belum cukup kuat untuk sepenuhnya menggantikan pola perilaku lama yang telah terbentuk selama bertahun-tahun di Panti Sosial X.
