Balancing Responsibilities: Financial Self-Efficacy and Financial Well-Being in the Sandwich Generation

Generasi sandwich menghadapi tekanan ekonomi akibat tanggung jawab finansial terhadap keluarag inti dan orang tua secara bersamaan. Kondisi tersebut dapat memengaruhi kesejahteraan finansial individu, terutama dalam pengelolaan keuangan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh financial self-efficacy terhadap financial well-being dengan financial behavior sebagai variabel mediasi pada generasi sandwich di Kota Ambon. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei terhadap 115 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner daring (google form) dengan skala Likert. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SmartPLS 4.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa financial self-efficacy berpengaruh positif terhadap financial behavior maupun financial well-being. Selain itu, financial behavior terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap financial well-being serta mampu memediasi hubungan antara financial self-efficacy dan financial well-being. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan literatur perilaku keuangan serta menjadi dasar dalam penyusunan program edukasi keuangan bagi generasi sandwich.
